Each piece is handmade by Sherylin Birth in Ticino, Switzerland. Due to the artisanal techniques used, each jewel is unique and one of a kind with slight variances. The process used to develop these accessories is a crucial point of the collection and creates the organic signature look. Each piece is therefore irregular, and traces of the process are kept visible, like the welding, to value the beauty of the artisanal work. Care

Metal

This accessory is made out of brass, a metallic alloy consisting of copper and zinc. Therefore it is nickel free. I take the time to polish each piece so it is shiny when it arrives in your hands. Brass naturally oxidizes over time when exposed to the elements in a variety of shades that can result in beautiful faint colours. I prefer to keep the brass in its natural form rather than coating it with varnish in order to let the material speak for itself. The yellow hue from the oxidation can be removed with a metal polish and a polishing cloth. If you wish for your pieces to remain bright, keep them away from moisture, shower steam, and other water activities. And when you’re not wearing your jewellery, store it in a plastic bag.

Ceramic

The ceramic pieces are delicate and precious. Take good care while wearing them and don’t drop them on a hard surface. Store in a box with some wadding and handle them with care to prevent them from breaking and cracking.
