Each piece is entirely handmade by Sherylin Birth in Ticino, Switzerland. Due to the artisanal techniques used, each jewel is unique and one of a kind with slight variances. The process used to develop these accessories is a crucial point of the collection and creates the organic signature look. Each piece is therefore irregular, and traces of the process are kept visible, like the welding, to value the beauty of the artisanal work. Care

Metal

The jewelry are made out of brass, 925 sterling silver, 18k gold plated or vermeil. Brass is a metallic alloy consisting of copper and zinc. Therefore it is nickel free. Brass and sterling silver naturally oxidizes over time when exposed to the elements in a variety of shades that can result in beautiful faint colors. I take the time to polish each piece so it is shiny when it arrives in your hands. I prefer to keep the brass in its natural form rather than coating it with varnish in order to let the material speak for itself. The yellow hue from the oxidation can be removed with a metal polish and a polishing cloth. 18k gold-plated and vermeil jewelry should be gently cleaned with a soft brush and mild dish soap. Do not use a polishing cloth or metal polish on gold-plated jewelry, as it will strip away the plating.

If you wish for your pieces to remain bright, keep them away from moisture, shower steam, and other water activities. And when you’re not wearing your jewellery, store it in a plastic bag.

Ceramic

The ceramic pieces are delicate and precious. Take good care while wearing them and don’t drop them on a hard surface. Store in a box with some wadding and handle them with care to prevent them from breaking and cracking.

A high-quality gold plating service is available for previously purchased brass or silver pieces, or to refresh your existing gold plating with 18K gold.
